Following restrictions on outdoor activities being relaxed by HM Government, at last we can wet a line on one of our favourite Guash or Welland beats, hopefully this is timed for a fantastic mayfly season.
In line with the Angling Trust’s guidance following the relaxing of restrictions, please adhere to the following when fishing all club waters.
- Fish as locally as possible and travel alone to your chosen venue.
- Where possible sanitise hands before and after handling gates, styles or any item another member of the public will have or will come into contact with and try and wear gloves.
- Maintain social distancing at all times and fish at least 15 meters from another angler.
- Display a club car sticker in your car, if this is not available please put a note on your dashboard stating you are a GFC member, this will ensure other members know you are fishing the beat and should be prepared to take the appropriate distancing precautions .
A number of our riparian owners have emphasised that government guidelines must be respected.
Also please be aware that Churchill Security are patrolling the Lower Welland randomly in an effort to deter poachers, so please carry your current club badge and rod license.
